SFS2014 ~ August/September

I missed my SFS update for last month... We were on holidays for the last week of August and then getting ready for back to school and back to hockey... Phew! Honestly, I'm exhausted lol :)

So, my update is for the two months... And I spent $36.63 between both. My stash enhancement is here, minus a bit of fabric that I've stashed away already!

I'm looking forward to working on my first Mill Hill bead kit, it looks like a lot of fun, but definitely not a project that I can drag around with me!

I'm hoping to be updating a little more (three posts in three days!), I have a fee more things to share. But for now, I wish you all a wonderful week ahead!  I'm hoping our weather will stay nice for a while longer, we got a taste of snow a couple weeks ago and I sure don't want that back for a while yet!!!

Pumpkins for Pumpkin

Cathey, you are very much missed in my world.  I'm greater to have "known" you, even though I never had the privilege of sitting down and sharing a cup of coffee and some stitchy time with you.  You gave so much to others and I'm so thankful to have been a recepient of a wee bit of that kindness.  Your "ROFL!!" and "LOL!!" comments never failed to make me smile and I miss them more than I thought possible.  The Walking Dead is returning soon and I think of you and our emails debating about what's going to happen next week, every time I sit down to watch with some stitching in hand.

Halloween Exchange for Lillie

I received a lovely email from Lillie letting me know that she received the Halloween ornament I sent to her in a recent exchange.

Ghosts
JCS 2014 Halloween Special Issue
32ct Queen Anne's Lace
DMC as charted
Victorian Motto Shoppe ribbon

Here's a couple of close ups of the front & back of the ornament.  I especially love how the back turned out...  I didn't have a piece of fabric wide enough to complete the backing so I stitched two pieces together and left the frayed edge showing.

Lillie, I'm glad you like the ornament, it was a fun one to stitch!

Happy Friday!
