... that inside can look like this :)

Early Christmas Exchange for Leigh

Happy Friday All!!

I saw on the HoE site that Leigh received the Christmas ornament I stitched for her for the HoE Early Christmas Exchange.

Windows of Joy ~ Primrose Needleworks
Gift of Stitching Magazine ~ December 2007
32ct Mushroom Lugana & recommended DMC

I loved stitching up this little ornament.  Truth be told, I had started something else and almost had it finished, but just wasn't happy with my choice.  So about 4 days before the mailing deadline I started this little gem and am so happy I did.  Anyone else ever feel that way??

Leigh, I'm so happy you (and your son!) are enjoying your ornament!  And thank you for taking a much better photo than I did :)

Early Christmas Exchange from Ina

Treats in the mailbox today!!!  I received this beautiful Christmas ornament from Ina (no blog) for the HoE Early Christmas Exchange.

This "Stitchin' Santa" is just adorable!!  I love the triangle shaped finish and the stitching motifs on his suit!  Ina's stitching and finishing are just flawless, she's done an amazing job.

I've participated in four exchanges with HoE now and have been fortunate enough to be paired with Ina in three of them now!  We're practically family! LOL

Thanks so much Ina, I'm in love with this little Santa and cannot wait for him to have a place of honor on my tree this Christmas.  Maybe I'll have to have a mini tree where all these lovelies can stay out year round...  hmmm...

Crochet Hat Pincushion

Recently Nima posted an offer for her crochet hat pincushion pattern she created. I took her up on her offer, requested the pattern and got started right away! This little pincushion is something that makes you smile as it takes shape and you don't want to put it down until you're finished!

My girls had fun playing with the hat and digging through the button jar to help find the perfect accessory. We decided simple & classic was best, at least this time. There will probably be more hats in my future since my daughter asked for one for her dolls too :)

Hurry over to Nima's blog, she's only offering the pattern until the end of the month!

Where does time go???

Wow! I expected to be back around this space sooner than this, but sometimes life just goes by so fast... I don't know where the last three weeks went! I thought that when tax season ended I'd just resume life as normal, but that hasn't really happened yet.

I mentioned in my last post about the project bags I won on a giveaway hosted by Myra, and here they are :)

Myra, your work is just beautiful, thank you so much for sharing it with me!

I haven't been overly productive in the stitching department in the last while... or very productive in updating my lack of progress either :) That being said, here is May's TUSAL update (I think the new moon was last weekend, so I'm still late!).

I may not have been stitching very much lately, but I have been playing with hooks & yarn... I seem to be addicted to crocheting washcloths. You would not believe how many different washcloth patterns there are out there!!

I'm all about instant gratification :)
That's about it for today... Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!
