Please go and visit Jolene's blog and read the beautiful story she's shared with us. And if you can still see through your tears at the end, she has an amazing gift to share to wrap up her October Party Giveaway.
I know as a working mom of three that sometimes things can get overwhelming and it's easy to overreact, especially with your loved ones. Sometimes you need a story like that to put things back in perspective.
Wow, I could get used to these nice treats in my mailbox every day!!
Yesterday brought my TTE Too Needlebook Exchange from Amanda. She did a wonderful job on this book, I instantly fell in love with it! Here's the front:
And the back:
And the whole exchange:
Amanda also made the sweet pins and scissor fob. Sad thing for me is that I don't even have a proper pair of embroidery scissors to put the fob on, but now I don't need to justify a pair anymore! I mean, I have to let the fob do it's job, right?
Earlier this month I was the lucky winner in a giveaway Staci was hosting for one of her handknit scarves and it arrived last week (and the picture doesn't do it justice, it's so gorgeous!).
Thank you so much Staci, it will definitely help keep me warm during this cold Alberta winter that's quickly approaching!!
You can see a much better picture on Staci's blog here :)

And if that wasn't spoiling me enough, yesterday another great parcel was in my mailbox when I got home from work. Here is my HoE Halloween exchange from Ina (no blog).
Ina stitched me this very sweet ornament which is backed in coordinating orange & black Halloween fabric. She was also included these great goodies, including the cute scarecrow fabric in the background. Thanks so much Ina!!
I saw on the TTE Too board that Lynn received the floss tag that I stitched for her. I volunteered to do an angel stitch for Lynn since it appeared that her original partner was MIA. Well, just as I was finishing her tag, her original partner posted that she had been delayed, but was finished and mailing a tag for Lynn. I decided to still post my tag, Lynn deserved an extra surprise for her patience!

Lynn, I'm so glad it arrived safely & you like it! Enjoy :)
I received a wonderful email from Cindy yesterday letting me know that she received the Halloween exchange I sent her. I forgot to take a photo of the back and extras, Cindy's posted pics on the HoE Too blog.

This was my first exchange with the HoE (HoE Too) Group and so much fun!! I just posted my second exchange with them and sitting with baited breath hoping it makes a quick trip :)
Thank you for stopping by & sharing my stitchy journey with me!!
Well, time is really sneaking away on me, it seems like I just posted September's TUSAL update!
Here's October's clippings. You can see there's a lot of pink floating around the top from the HoE beCause it's Pink exchange I've been stitching away at. And since the mailing deadline for this exchange is sneaking up on me and I still need to finish-finish, I don't think there will be many stitches added to BoInk today :(
Have a fantastic week friends, thank you for stopping by!
Wow, I cannot believe that it's been over a month since I posted a progress pic on BoInk. I haven't been able to spend as much time on this lately as I've liked, hopefully now that we're settling into our winter routine I'll be able to do that!
I'm at the start of a four day weekend, so I'm looking forward to a little bit of "me" time over the next couple of days. I'm off now to pack up my Halloween Exchange and get it into the mail and then settle down and work on my beCause it's Pink piece.
A great weekend, full of turkey and lots of family time. We also celebrated two girls' birthdays in my house this weekend, so there was lots of cake too!
And of course, what weekend would be complete without a little bit of this:
And some of this:
My hockey project has been brought out again after being put away for the summer! There's not too much work left to do on this blanket, and I have the yarn ready for the next one. The best part of this one is that it's big enough to keep me warm at the same time, once it's finished I'll have to cart my project and another blanket with me to the rink!
You know, some days are just crappy. Today was one of those days. Terrible sleep last night, kids arguing (about nothing I might add), bad day at work, there just seemed to be drama everywhere I turned. Yuck.
But then I got home and checked the mail. What a pick me up!! Lady Luck smiled on me last month and chose me as the winner of the monthly giveaway hosted by Oubliette and it arrived today. Thanks Riona, I can't wait to kit up some of these new charts!
See, no matter what's going on it can only get better :)
